Note to Parents
Dear Parents,
Thank you for choosing St. Jude Parish Family Faith Formation.
We use a 2-part format for Family Faith Formation for Gr. K-12:
1. We have a state-of-the-art online curriculum for Gr. K-12 students to learn at home.
2. We will supplement the online home learning with monthly family sessions.
This format has been used by St. Jude Parish since 2014, as well as other parishes in the Kalamazoo Diocese with great success. Parents report increased interest and understanding of their family's faith from using this 2-part format.
Our goal is to provide an excellent faith formation program so that each child:
1. develops a thorough understanding of our beautiful Catholic faith,
2. experiences a spiritual and moral conversion (exchanging a more secular lifestyle for a more devout one),
3. matures into adulthood with a firm conviction to live their Catholic faith throughout his or her life
As the primary educators of your children's faith (CCC 2223), we feel that you have the right to be actively involved in the religious education classes that your children participate in. We hope you enjoy the new and improved faith formation program at St. Jude Parish.
God Bless,
Cindy Carroll

Our 2-Part Program:
Online Curriculum:
Students in Grades 1-12 will be set up with an online account to complete weekly lessons using your family's home PC.
Family Sessions:
Families will gather after Mass, 1x per month, for a family session from 10:00 - Noon.
Parents, grandparents, godparents, guardians, older siblings, and other close adult relatives are encouraged to attend.
Children must be accompanied by at least 1 adult at each month's family session.
10:00 - 11:15 Families will have a group Catholic activity (examples: Family Rosary, Eucharistic Adoration, Stations of the Cross).
11:15 - 12:00 Students will go to their grade-level classes (led by a catechist) where they will participate in fun Catholic games,
activities, crafts and/or lessons that provide more understanding about the group family session.
11:15 - 12:00 Parents and/or grandparents will also have a group session. The format of the adult session will be group discussion,
fellowship, brainstorming and encouragement in our quest to strengthen our individual domestic churches, and to find ways
to celebrate our faith, throughout the liturgical year in our homes. The parent group session will usually be led by Cindy.
* * The order of the monthly session may change: the family session might come after the student and parent sessions some months.
* * Snacks and beverages will be provided to all during the classroom sessions.
