JUBILEE YEAR OF THE HOLY SPIRIT – The month of October focuses on the gift of Understanding and the fruit of Peace. The Bishop asks all to use the prayer of the month found on the diocesan website, www.diokzoo.org/holy-sprit under October Resources to activate this gift in our lives and increase this fruit within us.
OCTOBER IS RESPECT LIFE MONTH – As Catholics, we are called to cherish, defend and protect those who are most vulnerable – from the beginning of life to its end, and at every point in between. During the month of October the Church asks us to reflect more deeply on the dignity of every human life. For resources and ideas to help build a culture of life this October and throughout the year go to https://www.respectlife.org/respect-life-month.
JUBILEE YEAR OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Bishop Bradley announces a special Jubilee Year of the Holy Spirit to begin August 8, 2021 and culminate on the Solemnity of Pentecost, June 5, 2022. This special Year will call upon the Holy Spirit to bestow upon our Diocese His seven-fold Gifts to help us be renewed in our Love for Jesus, for our Faith, and to help us to become those joyful and courageous missionary disciples Jesus needs us to be. The details and much more information about how we will observe this Year of the Holy Spirit will be forthcoming.
Come, Holy Spirit!
FOOD PANTRY – Needs for the month of October are paper towels, toilet paper, canned pumpkin, cranberry sauce and cereal.
